About Dr. Mackenzie Smith

Dr. Mackenzie Smith grew up in the Finger Lakes Region of Western New York. She's a sports enthusiast and started her running journey at an early age. During high school, Dr Smith sought chiropractic treatment for recurring ankle injuries endured while on the soccer field and basketball court.

Her appreciation for chiropractic care deepened as she experienced relief from her injuries and recognized its significant impact. She also developed a keen interest in foot health due to her own foot injuries, which occasionally hindered her running and strength training over the past decade. This led to a focus on supporting youth athletes, something she felt was missing in her early sports involvement.

Dr. Smith earned her BS at Marywood University in Scranton, PA, and later obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY. She furthered her manual skills by attending courses and seminars through organizations like the Motion Palpation Institute, Prague School of Rehabilitation, and McKenzie Institute.

After completing her education, she relocated to Raleigh, where she worked with Dr. Lindsay Mumma and other outstanding providers at TriangleCRC for nearly 6 years before starting CFC in September 2023.

While she misses New York, Dr. Smith now considers the Triangle area her home. She enjoys exploring new places and can often be found outdoors, discovering plants, and experimenting with fermentation.
